Resawing maple caramelization?

Post subject:  Resawing maple caramelization?

We have been having a lot of build up on our resaw from sawing maple. Is it possible that maple felled at a certain time of the year might have more sugar sap in it causing our blades to gum up?

Sometimes too sweet -even syrupy !

We'll it sucks because it is killing our blades. Does smell good though
